The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater, aka The Fred, has established itself as one of the leading outdoor entertainment venues in the metro Atlanta area and has hosted hometown favorites, national, and touring acts for more than thirty years. The variety of entertainment act appearing there is always well-balanced, including music from Peter Cetera to The B-52’s.
Golf enthusiasts in Peachtree have three Canongate (a golfing association) golf courses in their city. Braelinn and Planterra have 18 holes each, and Flat Creek has 27 holes. The local enthusiasm for golf extends well off the greens as Peachtree has more than 90 miles of recreational paths that are golf cart friendly and can usually be found with a stream of battery-powered carts that traverse the city for shopping, recreation, and even the occasional game of golf using the cart trail transportation system.
Peachtree City is a shopper’s paradise. While many towns and cities can say that, Peachtree actually built its shopping area with easy and convenience in mind with five villages, each one centered around a full-service retail area. Peachtree City offers sought after small town ambiance while maintaining all the cultural and entertainment opportunities of a large, metropolitan area. Peachtree residents can also head to Atlanta and see an Atlanta Braves or Atlanta Falcons game.
Driving through Atlanta, where Interstate 85 is paired with Interstate 75 (called The Downtown Connector), a person will encounter some of America’s most challenging driving. Morning and evening rush hours last approximately 3 hours each. This area demands excellent driving skills; however, many accidents do occur as not all drivers have excellent driving skills.
The City of Peachtree Municipal Court handles traffic offenses and local ordinance violations. The City of Peachtree Municipal Court is held each Wednesday at City Hall, 151 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City. Court begins promptly at 8:30 am and 1:00 pm.
Jurisdiction differs when it comes to civil matters, such as personal injury lawsuits. These cases are held at the State Court in Fayette County, except those reserved exclusively for the superior courts. The state court cannot appoint attorneys to represent parties in civil matters (private disputes between two or more parties such as a personal injury lawsuit resulting from an auto accident). The car accident lawyers of Millar & Mixon, LLC have already helped hundreds of clients throughout the state of Georgia who were seriously injured in auto, truck, pedestrian, or bicycle accidents.
Peachtree City has its own municipal Airport at Falcon Field. While it is a small airport serving mostly private planes and small business jet passenger aircraft, it can support larger planes up to 60,000 pounds on the nearly mile-long runway. Peachtree City Airport Authority services about 150 aircraft a day from this controlled field. While small, this airport is very significant to the area; it hosts many annual events including the Great Georgia Air Show. A few significant aviation related businesses have come to town because of the field. Some of the larger players are Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co., Georgia Aircraft Interiors, and Priority Jet, a charter and fleet management specialist company.
