Meet Porcia Lockett

Porcia has always had a passion for personal injury litigation, and her role as an Attorney at The Millar Law Firm has allowed her to put that passion to good use. She is responsible for drafting memorandums, complaints, and motions; researching case law and legal issues; preparing case briefs; redacting records; organizing discovery; attending mediations and trials; and even assisting with drafting legal articles for our website. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and dedication have quickly made her an invaluable member of our team.

Before joining The Millar Law Firm, Porcia served as a Law Clerk at the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office from May to November 2021. There, she assisted Assistant District Attorneys by assembling and organizing information for legal documents; researching law; assembling case materials; writing reports and memoranda; and updating court calendars and schedules. Porcia also assisted in the courtroom with trials and hearings, gaining invaluable experience that she now applies to her work with our clients.

Porcia’s experience in the legal field extends beyond her time as a Law Clerk. From September 2017 to August 2020, she worked at the Georgia Office of State Administrative Hearings (OSAH) as a Legal Assistant and Case Management Assistant. In this role, Porcia assisted multiple administrative law judges with caseloads and workload management, ensuring a 100% efficiency rate. As a liaison between judges, the public, litigants, and state agencies, she prepared case files, calendars, and other paperwork for judges and attended court to assist assigned judges in ensuring a fair hearing process.

Porcia’s journey in the legal field began with internships as a Legal Assistant at the Jason Hoffman Law Firm in Tifton, GA, where she assisted in preparing for court proceedings and recorded essential information for misdemeanor and juvenile cases. Later, she interned at the Davis Bozeman Law Firm in Decatur, GA, where she assisted in organizing case files in areas such as personal injury, wrongful deaths, criminal defense, and civil rights.

Outside of work, Porcia is a dedicated content creator who loves to cook and work out. She shares her passion for cooking and fitness with her audience and enjoys visiting new restaurants in Atlanta, always on the hunt for the best sushi and places with live music. Porcia also loves to travel and explore new cultures, always ready for her next adventure.
