1st Annual Underage Drinking Awareness Scholarship

Attention Young Georgians:

Create a Public Service Announcement Warning Teens of the Dangers of Underage Drinking and Win a College Scholarship

Underage drinking poses a serious public safety hazard to young people in Georgia. Often we read or see news stories about families who suffered the loss of a teenage son or daughter to drug and alcohol-related incidents. To  help raise public awareness of just how dangerous underage drinking can be provide educational opportunities to young citizens of Georgia, The Millar Law Firm has created our Dangers of Underage Drinking PSA Scholarship Contest.

The Law Firm will give scholarships of $2,000, $1,000 and $500 in 2015 to high school seniors and rising freshmen in Georgia colleges who create the best catchy videos communicating  about the dangers of underage drinking.  Videos must be creative and not have graphic or disturbing images.

To enter, you’ll need to send us a thirty-second PSA video. We would love to see your best new ideas about the hazards of drinking below the legal age.

Submissions are due befores April 1, 2015.

The Atlanta Advocates of our Firm help your friends and neighbors in the Atlanta metro area recover financially from serious accidents.  We are dedicated to making our community the safest place possible to live and raise families.  Unfortunately, underage drinking and driving while impaired results in too many serious and sometimes deadly car accidents around Atlanta and throughout the State every year.  We believe more can be done to prevent these tragic losses.

The Millar Law Firm will provide the following awards to winners of our Scholarship contest. Our review committee will determine the First Place and Second Place winners.

  • 1st Place: $2,000 scholarship
  • 2nd Place: $1,000 scholarship

Honorable Mention: $500 scholarship for video that receives most Social votes

The awards will be in a check from The Millar Law Firm.


You must submit your completed application and 30-second video by 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 1, 2015.

Please note that all submissions will belong to The Millar Law Firm to use and reproduce for promotional purposes.

All entrants agree that The Millar Law Firm has permission to use their photo and video marketing.


The Dangers of Underage Drinking PSA video contest is open to rising high school seniors in Georgia and rising college freshmen enrolled at a four-year college or university in Georgia.

Social Voting

The Dangers of Underage Drinking PSA video entries will be uploaded to YouTube. Each entry will have its own page featuring the embedded video, head shot and brief bio.

Visitors can login on the page and vote for their favorite video. Use the #SoberGaScholarship when sharing your favorite video through social media.

The contest entrant whose video receives the most social votes will win the Honorable Mention $500 scholarship.
